Worst Days vs. Best Days

These lines are extracted from the book, “The Discipline of Grace” by Jerry Bridges. I’m reading the book whenever I have free time and I’m so blessed on the spiritual principles that the Lord is teaching me through the book.

Romans 5:1-2 added an emphasis that Grace comes through Christ:
1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ2through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
—that’s why it’s called grace.. it does not depend on ‘how good’ or ‘how bad’ we have been. it is not about “us”.. it’s about God and only God.. ☺

Glory to God in the highest! The Holy One of Israel. The God of the Bible. The only One who is worthy. Everlasting and ever-present personal God, whose mercy endures forever. Praise God.

WHAT ARE WE, THEN, IN GOD’S EYES?

WHAT ARE WE, THEN, IN GOD’S EYES?
  • Are we GUILTY, and thus should be judged?
  • Or, are we HIS CHILDREN, whom He loves so much?
→→ THESE 2 QUESTIONS WILL BE ANSWERED THROUGH OUT THIS POST, READ ON!
Romans 3:23 says:
23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
—Can anyone proudly say that he/she have never ever lied? Even the one who says that they have never lied, is a lie in itself! Everybody is guilty, ALL HAVE SINNED.
—and what is the penalty of sin? we see the answer in the first part of:
Romans 6:23
23For the wages of sin is death
(and this, not only physical death but eternal death)
♥♥♥ BUT OUR GOD IS A GRACIOUS, FORGIVING, AND MERCIFUL GOD. HE DOESN'T END EVERYTHING THERE, OR ELSE WE CAN’T SAY THAT WE ARE LIVING IN THE LIGHT OF THE GOOD NEWS (THE GOSPEL OF THE GRACE OF GOD).
How do we solve this problem? We don’t. God solved the problem, as it says in
John 3:16
 16“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
—Jesus Christ, the God-man, died for our sins, you and I.. so that we may not be judged according to our transgressions.(2Corinthians5:21).
• • • Notice that it didn’t say, “For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son.” and just ends there. it also says “THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.”
————-so how do we say that we believe? Romans 10:9-10 says:
9That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
—-Lord is Master, what the Master says, we follow, or else how can we say that He is our Lord if we don’t follow what He says? that would be hypocrisy and we don’t want to be that..

*Can we be then called as HIS CHILDREN?
Absolutely! John1:12 says:
12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—

What now, are we GUILTY? Or are we HIS CHILDREN?
Everybody is guilty, but that guilt can be cleansed if we:
  1. Believe in our hearts that Jesus Christ died for our sins;
  1. Humbly ask God to forgive our sins and commit to God our turning away from those sins;
  2. Stop trusting ourselves and put our trust in what Christ did for us;
  1. Make Jesus the Lord and Master of our lives, seeking to give Him the glory in everything that we do.
And if we continue to live our lives for God, then we are NO LONGER GUILTY in His Eyes, but WE HAVE BECOME HIS CHILDREN.
—all Glory and Praises to God, the Lord and Master of our lives.

If it is Your will.

IF IT IS YOUR WILL to come back on Earth while Your servant is still a transient here,
may You please find me reading Your Word with great delight in my heart,
and worshiping You gladly, “worthy is Your name, my King.”

IF IT IS YOUR WILL to come back on Earth while Your servant is still a transient here,
may You not find me sinning against You on that day,
when You fetch me here to wipe the tears from my eyes.
when You fetch me here to bring me home with You.

IF IT IS YOUR WILL.

Live By FAITH . . . Not Sight...

2Corinthians 5:7 says:
7We live by faith, not by sight.

John 20:29 narrates:

29Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

How could we not agree to Mr. Ralph Waldo Emerson? In fact, we can already see God through His works, creation, awesome wonders..We can't see Him physically, but His presence is felt in every way. He is omnipresent. He dwells among his people.
Just look at the heavenly bodies, the mountains, the ocean, the rain, aren’t their glory just point to our creator? Even the warmth of the sun, air that we breathe, and the cool breeze that we don’t see, but we believe exists because we feel it and see it move amidst us.. :)

☻The new mercies we witness in every mornings that we see:
  • every glorious beat of our heart;
  • the breaths we take;
  • the fine movements of our fingers;
  • the automatic dilation and constriction of our pupils according to our need;
and millions of other evidences of our God, so alive and powerful, great and majestic, unfathomable. :)

Let’s all be blessed by reflecting on God's greatness in even the smallest details of our lives, from the great landscapes that we see down to the smallest cells that we have in our bodies.. He holds it together. He is in control of our entirety.

Share and reflect with me, what else makes you see and feel and testify that God is ever-living?
