These lines are extracted from the book, “The Discipline of Grace” by Jerry Bridges. I’m reading the book whenever I have free time and I’m so blessed on the spiritual principles that the Lord is teaching me through the book.
Romans 5:1-2 added an emphasis that Grace comes through Christ:
1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
—that’s why it’s called grace.. it does not depend on ‘how good’ or ‘how bad’ we have been. it is not about “us”.. it’s about God and only God.. ☺
Glory to God in the highest! The Holy One of Israel. The God of the Bible. The only One who is worthy. Everlasting and ever-present personal God, whose mercy endures forever. Praise God. ☺
