It's our nature to desire, and to give our best for the ones we love.

And it includes service to the God who loved us first and gave Himself up for us. (1John 4:19; Galatians 2:20)
The quality of our service, whether we like it or not, shows our regard for the high, and exalted, holy holy holy King of glory. (Isaiah 6:3)
Let’s allow the Lord to search our hearts and lives...
How do we, personally, serve the sovereign LORD of Hosts?
Is there love and honor... reflected in it?
If yes... how much?
God looks at our hearts,
"2 I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and you found them to be false; 3 and you have perseverance and have endured for My name's sake, and have not grown weary. 4 But I have this against you, that you have left your first love." (Revelation 2:2-4)
May Jesus not say the same for us,
"This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me” (Matthew 15:8)

And as the Lord Jesus said,
"You will know them by their fruits.” (Matthew 7:16 a)

God loved, and we know that He gave His best.
In fact, His only begotten Son. (John 3:16)

May we reflect the greatness of the love of our Lord: in our loving Him foremost, then in loving our neighbors.
Not only in lip service, but in evident deeds. All of which, just flowing from what is happening inside the heart.
